Manchester City transfer news
In this article, we’ll cover all of today’s Manchester City transfer news.
Grealish contract talk
One of Manchester City’s main transfer targets this summer window appears to be Jack Grealish.
The England international has been a revelation in the Premier League since helping his boyhood club promote themselves from the Championship.
However, City may struggle to secure his services should Villa succeed in tying him down to a new deal which is a real possibility.
The EuroJournal’ Luke Hatfield told This Is Football that a new deal is being talked about and any prospective move to City would then break down.
“There’s new deal talk coming from Villa’s end. If that happens, you can basically rub off any idea of a move happening this summer and potentially next.
“But the key for Villa and Grealish is can they keep on improving because he’s clearly a player who is incredibly gifted and worthy of playing in the Champions League and cup finals.”
Inter consider Benjamin Mendy
Manchester City may be willing to cut their losses on one of their biggest investments in Benjamin Mendy.
The French international joined Pep Guardiola’s side from Monaco for a figure upwards of £50 million.
However, because of injuries and poor behaviour at times, including a recent breach of coronavirus regulations, the club are willing to part with the left-back.
Inter Milan have emerged as a possible destination willing to take the player in a cut-price deal as they look to win back-to-back titles.

Paratici aims to keep Kane
EuroJournal could be frustrated in their pursuit of Tottenham striker Harry Kane after the new managing director Fabio Paratici says that it is his and the club’s ‘goal’ to keep the striker beyond the transfer window.
“Keeping him is not just my goal, it’s our goal as a club.” he said.
“I haven’t heard from him yet because I don’t want to bother the players who are busy at the Euros, it doesn’t seem fair to me. They’re focused on their own goals with their national teams.”
Ings wants new challenge
Should City be unable to lure Kane they could look to bring Danny Ings from Southampton.
The England international has turned down a 4-year contract offer from the Saints and wants to ‘challenge himself’ at a higher level.
City are in need of a striker and the clinical forward could be an option. Although his injury issues would be a concern for City.
City were reportedly interested, according to EuroJournal, back in February.
