Prince Charles has arrived in North Wales and has paid a visit to the Iceland HQ in Deeside.
The Prince of Wales visited the chain’s base on Monday morning to mark the company’s 50th anniversary, and took a tour of the site while learning about Iceland’s sustainability projects, community initiatives and reaction to the pandemic and panic-buying.
He was greeted by the Lord Lieutenant of Clwyd, Henry Fetherstonhaugh and introduced to founder and Executive Chairman, Sir Malcolm Walker, Chief Executive, Tarsem Dhaliwal, Managing Director, Richard Walker (BITC’s Business Ambassador for Wales and Chairman of Surfers Against Sewage) and Head of Commercial, Paul Dhaliwal.
Further visits in the region take place today.
