TWO years ago Jose Mourinho was being linked with a move to become Celtic manager and a Parkhead hero.
But he could now be cast as a villain as he could to scupper Ange Postecoglou’s move for former Hearts kid Aaron Hickey.
The Scottish Sun reports The Special One is on the lookout for a new left-back option at Roma.
Italy star Leonardo Spinazzola’s Achilles injury woes have left Mourinho scrambling for a full-back with Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso, and Bologna’s Mitchell Dijks on his shortlist.
If Dijks is allowed to leave, reportedly on a loan deal, the it could rule out the possibility of Hickey being allowed to move on.
It’s also claimed that Fiorentina could make a move for Hickey with boss Vincenzo Italiano reportedly interested.
Hickey last played for Bologna against Lazio in February where he was shown a red card.
He has been sidelined through injury ever since.
But the 19-year-old has plenty of suitors vying for his signature this summer, with Celtic rumoured to be keen on bringing him back to Scotland.

It has been reported that Celtic would need to splash around £4million to have any chance of bringing Hickey back to Glasgow.
But Italian newspaper il Resto del Carlino claim a bid has been made as Postecoglou looks to rebuild the Celtic squad.
Asked about the transfer speculation surrounding him, Hickey said recently: “Well I am fully aware that there has been interest.
“I can see it all – but I have just got to keep my head down and keep my full focus on Bologna just now.”
