Willian scuppers Arsenal exit
Willian was supposed to be one of Arsenal’s star last season, with the winger arriving from Chelsea on a free transfer.
But the Brazilian’s move to the Emirates was an abject failure, as the 32-year-old scored just one goal in all competitions.
He started off as a regular in Mikel Arteta’s starting line-up, but as talents such as Bukayo Saka emerged, Willian saw his game-time diminish.
With the Brazilian taking home a substantial pay packet, the Gunners are now keen to offload him this summer.
MLS side Inter Miami had become a possible destination for Willian, with boss Phil Neville looking to boost his squad.
But EuroJournal report that his exorbitant wage demands of £8.7million a year scuppered the move as it was too much for owner David Beckham to contemplate paying.
